The client envisioned a kitchen that embraced the charm of a traditional farmhouse while offering modern practicality and style. They wanted intricate details like paneling, cornices, and trims to highlight the classic design, creating a space with character and authenticity. A central island with seating was a must for a functional and inviting gathering spot, while ample storage in larder units was key to maintaining organization. They sought materials that exuded elegance, such as subtly veined marble for the countertops, paired with warm brass hardware for a touch of vintage appeal. The inclusion of a farmhouse sink completed their vision of a cozy yet sophisticated kitchen.
